Frequently asked questions about float switches
How many switching points can a float switch have?
Our float switches can cover up to three switching points - ideal for monitoring minimum, maximum and intermediate levels. We define the positions individually according to your specifications.
Is a direct connection to the control unit possible?
Yes, we supply float switches with an open cable, M12 connector or a completely customized interface. This allows you to integrate the sensor directly - without adapters or reworking.
Can float switches be retrofitted?
In most cases, yes. Our sensors are designed in such a way that they can be mechanically and electrically integrated into existing systems - without major modifications.
Which material is suitable for my medium?
That depends on the area of application. For drinking water, we use plastic with KTW approval. For aggressive chemicals or high temperatures, we recommend stainless steel or special plastics such as PVDF. We will be happy to advise you personally.
How is the switching point set?
The switching point is determined by the position of the reed switch in the riser pipe and the movement of the float. We adjust both components precisely to your container and the desired fill level.
What distinguishes your float switches from standard products?
Our float switches are not off-the-shelf - they are manufactured individually for your application. This eliminates the need for adjustments, reworking and unnecessary compromises. Integration is easier, service life is longer and process reliability is better.
